vintage ceramic pourer

This indigo glazed sarashina-ware nikolai cup, named after Tsar Nikolai, was originally designed for drinking mineral-rich thermal spring water. Its fluted design is enhanced by the natural ash glaze traditionally used in pottery from Honmatsu. With new potential for use as a vase or ceramic pourer, this is a charming piece with an interesting backstory.
