This lovely tasseled cotton cloth was woven in Tochigi prefecture and hand tie-dyed using authentic plant-derived indigo. Unevenness and complexity of hue are part of its natural character, which will beautifully offset a timber or ceramic piece on display.

Unevenness and complexity are part of its natural character. Unlike synthetic dye, you can expect some indigo to transfer to lighter surfaces- even your skin- so take care during the first 5 washes.
Air dry in the shade and only wash in cold water by itself. Never spot clean, and iron the reverse with a cool iron (if you wish).
