the heritage project 2023

This gallery coat is a heavyweight long line piece with a simple, unstructured opening and two side inseam pockets. Its subtle cocoon shape is created by box pleats in the deep hem, and cropped, cuffed sleeves keep the silhouette unrestrictive and dynamic. With its open, buttonless style, this is an elegant outer shell to show and accentuate all your beautifully composed layers, with a welcome note of added warmth.

This one of a kind creation has been thoughtfully pieced together from vintage indigo dyed material, with every angle revealing a marvellous detail. Featuring a complex but harmonious collection of woven textures- each piece with its own private history- this fully lined coat is steeped in tradition, ready to shield you from the modern world.

care :
This piece incudes components of vintage indigo dyed fabric. Authentic, plant-derived indigo dyes impart rich and lively colour, but require extra care. Unevenness and complexity are part of its natural character. Unlike synthetic dye, you can expect some indigo to transfer to lighter surfaces- even your skin- so take care during the first 5 washes.

Air your garment between wears, store away from direct sunlight, and carefully hand wash in cold water when needed, with like colours only. Do not spot clean. Do not wring but gently blot, reshape while damp, and air dry in the shade.
