Wakasama Pottery, located in the serene Osawa district of Mashiko, Tochigi prefecture, traces its roots back to the Edo period (1603-1868) when Mashiko-ware first took form. Founded by the esteemed potter Kengo Wakabayashi, Wakasama Pottery has become a living testament to the enduring spirit of Mashiko ware, blending centuries-old techniques with modern innovation to create timeless pieces that resonate with the essence of Japanese pottery.
