art print : hitoradachi onna no zu dohan
This print by Kaigetsudo Ando (1671-1743) was painted in his signature brush work and is a prime example of his most well known subject - women - through which he captured the fashions of the era.
This print is part of a collection celebrating some of the most significant works in ukiyo-e (wood block prints and paintings of the 'floating world') history. To bring these masterpieces within reach, publisher Shueisha meticulously reproduced these rare works from original first impressions held in prestigious collections worldwide.
Supervised by a team of art historians, each piece is printed on authentic ukiyo-e washi paper using a polychrome offset lithographic process.
medium : offset lithograph printed on traditional Japanese handmade washi paper
This vintage piece has lived for many years in Japan and bears the gentle patina of time. Please expect some minor surface marks or fading, and see the photos for a clear indication of condition.
