This limited edition collaboration between hibi & the renowned Japanese font-maker Morisawa celebrates the pursuit of perfection by two third-generation companies.
Founded in 1948, Morisawa are responsible for many of Japan's most famous and widely used fonts in magazine and book publishing, and can be seen everywhere from PlayStation console menus to the train station signage on the Yamanote line. Unlike other designers, each Morisawa typeface begins its years-long development with characters hand-drawn using a pencil, ruler, and light boxes. Font operations manager Tsunehisa Morisawa insists "that’s the best way to maintain quality."
