Tokoname Ware : ceramic vase

A rough, uneven rim gives this hand-formed vase dramatic flair. A medium-sized vessel ideal for small arrangements or as a sculptural accent in a tabletop vignette. 

The city of Tokoname is synonymous with Japanese ceramics and has a pottery tradition reaching back more than one thousand years. Many of Tokoname's potters have been named Living National Treasures by the Japanese government.
