Stutterheim began their journey with one thought in mind, “Melancholy, when embraced rather than feared, can be a powerful catalyst for creativity.” In the midst of the Stockholm archipelago, Stutterheim founder Alexander discovered his grandfather’s old raincoat, shortly after he passed away. A classic fisherman’s raincoat – heavy, durable and timeless – provided the inspiration for the first Stutterheim raincoat. Enduring and practical designs, they are continually reinterpreting what modern means.
