shizuoka-hojicha : bancha tea

This 3-year-aged shizuoka-hojicha (roasted bancha tea) is a green tea that was developed as a natural way of reducing caffeine in tea. Autumn-harvested bancha stems are separated from their leaves and stored for three years. They are then roasted to further reduce caffeine and impart a slightly roasted flavour.
