mino ware : sakura bowl
Supported by a long history and tradition, mino ware pottery is produced in Tono, Gifu prefecture. This modern matcha bowl is reflective of Sue porcelain pieces that were popular with tea masters during the Edo period. Slight ridges along the sides lend it a tactile, thrown quality, while the cherry blossom lithography offers a sublime snapshot into Japanese spring.
As is the nature of all ceramics, your bowl will vary slightly from the photographed piece.
