esde : messenger bag
ESDE creates functional couture leather bags. Their disciplined aesthetic and exacting production sit in perfect balance with a deep respect for the wild, unique and natural beauty of the individual leathers they use, to give you a piece for all the years of your lifetime – and even beyond. Based in Düsseldorff, the ESDE atelier is still managed by its founder, designer Ronny Schröder, crafting one-off pieces informed by avant-garde design sensibilities and an uncompromising love of utilitarian detail.
The ESDE concept is one of give and take –giving you serious service with durability, functionality and style, and taking all the daily knocks you’ll throw at a good bag. Their vision is for every bag to mature with its owner, bearing witness to a life, and ultimately becoming part of your story.
A classic and timeless messenger bag in neutral khaki brown, this is a super functional unisex piece for every day use. A long, adjustable shoulder strap clips onto the top of the bag (so it hangs beautifully), and a strap closure with patinated brass buckle adds nostalgic charm. The bag’s sides can be quickly expanded or cinched with their leather ties, while the unlined interior incudes one pocket running the full width of the satchel, with a smaller pocket sitting atop.

care instructions :
ESDE bags are designed to show their age and use. To optimise their condition and preserve their leathers however, please avoid exposure to high humidity, oily liquids (such as hand cream) chemicals (such as perfume) and water damage. If your bag becomes wet, please pat it dry immediately with a clean dry cloth. Slight scratches can be minimised by a light massage with a cotton cloth or just with your finger tips and the skin’s natural oils. Off duty, rest your bag in the provided dust bag, and never store it in direct sunlight.
Please bear in mind that vegetable tanned 100% cow leather comes from a real, imperfect cow, bringing tonal variations, structural irregularity and marks. This is not the sign of a flaw, but rather shows the exact opposite – a uniquely handcrafted piece made by skilled human hands.
