As well as preserving traditional millinery techniques, Eritate create playful and innovative hats with clever modifications to classic shapes. Comfort and functionality are prioritised in their Okayama atelier, where finely woven materials including cotton, jute, and paper contribute to a gentle design sensibility, executed with care and good workmanship.

Eritate's shuri style is the classic wide brimmed sun hat, with a timeless quality to appeal through many summers. Its weave is soft enough to fold easily into your bag, but firm enough to shield the face without flopping down. A narrow grosgrain ribbon threaded through two eyelets allows the hat to be cinched at the back for a perfect fit, creating a beautiful gathered silhouette.
