Eritate

As well as preserving traditional millinery techniques, Eritate create playful and innovative hats with clever modifications to classic shapes. Comfort and functionality are prioritised in their Okayama atelier, where finely woven materials including cotton, jute, and paper contribute to a gentle design sensibility, executed with care and good workmanship.

Similar in shape to the shuri hat design but with out the narrow grosgrain ribbon, the mimosa has the same timeless quality of a classic wide brimmed sun hat. Its weave is soft enough to fold easily into your bag, but firm enough to shield the face without flopping down. A wide ribbon threads through two eyelets at the back and  allows the hat to be cinched at the back for a perfect fit, creating a beautiful gathered silhouette.
