As well as preserving traditional millinery techniques, Eritate create playful and innovative hats with clever modifications to classic shapes. Comfort and functionality are prioritised in their Okayama atelier, where finely woven materials including cotton, jute, and paper contribute to a gentle design sensibility, executed with care and good workmanship.

With a clever adjustable ribbon, the kapo sun hat cinches neatly at the back to create a structured, clochard-style profile with a nod to the hats of the 1920's. Its soft weave is firm enough to give deep shade from UV rays, but can easily be tucked away in your bag without losing its shape. An inner fabric band ensures no-scratch comfort, while a woven-in contrast stripe provides a simple design detail on the outer.
