eritate : edge hat
As well as preserving traditional millinery techniques, Eritate create playful and innovative hats with clever modifications to classic shapes. Comfort and functionality are prioritised in their Okayama atelier, where finely woven materials including cotton, jute, and paper contribute to a gentle design sensibility, executed with care and good workmanship.
Edged in indigo cotton binding, this hat has a unique design, with separate front and rear brims which overlap like petals, and a ruched fabric band. The front brim is deeper than the back, providing shade, and either brim can be flipped up or down, allowing for a number of different looks. Best of all, the hat is woven from an unusually soft jute blend, which is comfortable to wear and easily compactable.
Inner circumference may be adjusted slightly by moving the Velcro tab (cleverly concealed by the soft woven lining) as pictured.
