ban inoue : caya drawstring bag

Ban Inoue

From the beautiful ancient capital Nara, Ban Inoue make breathable garments in simple styles, allowing the soft texture and natural comfort of their caya cloth to take focus. Caya is a significant Japanese textile woven from pure cotton with a lightweight, netted structure, which becomes waffle-like in texture with each wash and wear. Traditionally woven in Nara, it is renowned in Japan for a beauty of near spiritual quality, inspiring poetry and ukiyo-e woodblock prints of the Edo period. Today, Ban Inoue wish to preserve the gentle aesthetic and practical properties of caya cloth with their effortless and naturally comfortable clothing.

Trying to travel without the kitchen sink? Do your back a favour and pop your phone, keys and wallet in this cleverly constructed drawstring bag, fully lined with two inner side pockets. A sweet and simple handbag alternative, it can also be used for travel essentials, as a beautiful lunch bag or as a bag within a bag, especially for the person who has no time for sifting but loves an over sized tote!
