yo to bi : tokoname ware square flower vase
YO TO BI
Renowned Japanese ceramicist and scholar Koyama Fujio described Six Ancient Kilns of Japan (六古窯 Rokkoyō), categorising the country's most culturally and historically significant schools of pottery; Tokoname is one such special location. Tokoname ceramic studios such as YO TO BI are still famous for their breadth of expertise, producing hand crafted vessels of quality for daily enjoyment and gentle beauty.
This modest vessel or flower vase allows the clay's essential malleability to shine, in all its quiet, wabi sabi beauty. Each piece is hand formed by skilled artisans, the glaze reflecting textural detail and flashing unique to every vase.
As is the nature of all handmade ceramics, your precious order will vary slightly from the photographed piece.
