sandy lockwood : small cups with handle
$68.00
by Sandy Lockwood
Based in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales, master ceramicist Sandy Lockwood creates poetic works which express the inherent qualities of the clays she chooses. Working with salt glazes and wood fired kilns fed by Australian eucalyptus, the intriguing range of nuanced surface textures and fluid forms she achieves is a testament to her practiced hands and refined aesthetic.
Low and stable with joyfully wonky forms, these delightful small scale cups present a moment of beauty that lasts after the last sip is gone. Salt glazed and wood fired in Limoges porcelain, they strike a balance between the clay’s characteristic translucent beauty and vitrified strength.
Safe to wash in the dishwasher as well as the old fashioned way.
