Bunai is a small, family-owned and managed business in India, creating unique bags and purses using vintage textiles. Hand sourced by the Gupta family on their travels through regional India, these original hand woven fabrics convey generations of traditional dying expertise and stunning pattern making, alive with warmth and bold design. Carefully reworked into new bags and purses, a piece from this collection joyfully preserves the rich cultural heritage of these textiles and their makers.

In quintessentially flax-toned raw linen, this beautiful bag has the kind of understated textural beauty which calls out to be touched. Fully lined in rich, indigo-saturated kantha cotton with a generous pocket, it can also be worn reverse-side out when you’re in a colourful mood. Generous, reinforced handles and Bunai’s signature tiny brass button detail testify to the exceptional craftsmanship behind this stunning piece.
