Ban Inoue
From the beautiful ancient capital Nara, Ban Inoue make breathable garments and accessories in simple styles, allowing the soft texture and natural comfort of their materials to take focus.
Kuzu (or kudzu) vine is native to Japan and its long bast fibres have been traditionally processed and used to make lustrous twine and textiles for hundreds of years. This sweet little bag is constructed from linen oilcloth, lined in contrasting cotton (with one internal pocket), and features a stitched layer of kuzu netting over the outer, creating a beautiful design detail. A drawstring top with wrapped cotton cords makes the bag adjustable.
